Amid Typhoon Ulysses, several malls temporarily closed while others remain open to cater to victims of the calamity.

On Facebook, some of the known establishments such as SM, Robinsons, Ayala, Vista, and Ortigas, announced temporary closure amid the onslaught of Typhoon Ulysses.

SM president Steven Tan said in an interview that all SM Malls are open except their branch in Marilao, Bulacan.

According to SM via an FB post, it will accommodate those who seek temporary shelter while the typhoon ravages the country.

SM added that as of November 11, overnight parking has been waived.

Aside from providing shelter, it also offers free WiFi and charging stations as well.

On the other hand, Ayala Malls announced via Facebook that all malls will be opened except; Ayala Malls Feliz, Ayala Malls Marikina, Clover Leaf, Harbor Point, and Marquee.

Robinsons also announced temporary closure in select establishments, particularly in Luzon.

Vista Malls continue its regular operations and aside from that, it will provide free WiFi. charging stations and waive the overnight parking fees at the moment.

Ortigas Malls will be opened to those who seek temporary shelter at the same time waive the November 11 overnight parking fee.

Meanwhile, PAGASA announced via its latest bulletin issued at 11 AM today, November 12, 2020, that Typhoon Ulysses maintains its strength and is now over the West Philippine Sea, East of Zambales.

It is traversing Westward at 25 km/h and has Maximum sustained winds of 130 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 200 km/h.

At 10:00 AM today, the center of the eye of Typhoon “ULYSSES” was located at 85 km West of Iba, Zambales.

Due to Typhoon Ulysses, classes have been suspended by selected schools and local government units (LGUs).

Several domestic and international flights were also canceled as Ulysses continues to intensify.
