Miss Universe Philippines 2020 2nd runner-up Michele Gumabao reacted to the negative remarks against the crowned MUP this year, Rabiya Mateo.

After the pageant, controversies surfaced against Michele and Rabiya. The winner was accused of cheating and her credibility to win was questioned.

On the other hand, Michele is accused of not willing to accept her defeat as she just ended up as the second runner-up. Apparently, fans of the two beauty queens clashed because of these issues.

However, it appeared that the queens are not affected by these. In an article published in PEP, it was said that Michele Gumabao even defended Rabiya Mateo against negative comments.

After the typhoon Ulysses, Michele has been posting her relief efforts for the victims. In one of her posts, a netizen commented that while Michele is busy helping other people, Rabiya was busy with her homecoming engagements and mall shows.

With this, Michele answered that it is not easy to change the scheduled activities and that the organization was also doing something to help.

Another netizens who criticized Rabiya and the Miss Universe Philippines Organization asked if what were the efforts coming from their part to help the typhoon victims.

Michele Gumabao stressed that they are also doing the same. “They are doing the same [heart emoji] we are all helpin n our own ways!” she said.
