Matteo Guidicelli Sets Foot in ABS-CBN Compound Anew
MATTEO GUIDICELLI – The Kapamilya actor-singer went emotional upon entering the compound of ABS-CBN again.
A lot of unexpected things took place in 2020. One of it is the closure of the ABS-CBN Network, a broadcast giant in the Philippines and has operated for decades already.
Undeniably, the Kapamilya network is already a part of people’s lives. Its expired franchise was followed by the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) releasing a Cease and Desist Order against the network this year.
ABS-CBN immediately went off-air following the order. The issues against the network were tackled during the 13 hearings held in the House of Representatives.
Last July 10, the members of the House Franchise Committee voted on whether or not to deny the ABS-CBN of a fresh 25-year franchise. The 70/11 voting result did not grant the network a new franchise to operate.

Currently, the Kapamilya network is airing through other channels and platforms. Recently, actor-singer Matteo Guidicelli visited the ABS-CBN compound in Quezon City and felt emotional.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Matteo returned to ABS-CBN compound as he taped an episode of I Feel U with Toni Gonzaga. He did not expect that he could enter the compound again.
“I’m very, very thankful. Talagang naging emotional nga ako noong pumasok ako sa basement at umakyat ng second floor at pumunta sa dressing room,” the actor-singer said.
Based on the report, Matteo Guidicelli also expressed his gratitude to Toni Gonzaga for inviting him to be her co-host. It gave him the opportunity to see again the people in the production.
According to the actor-singer, he has not seen these people for a long time. However, he has not seen all of them following the massive retrenchment of the network.
