Take of Enchong Dee on Some Kaamilya Stars Accepting Offers from Other Networks
ENCHONG DEE – The Kapamilya actor revealed his side on some Kapamilya stars working in other networks.
Undeniably, a lot of people did not see it coming that the ABS-CBN Network will be shut down this year. It is one of the biggest broadcasting companies in the country and has operated for decades.
It was in the first quarter of this year when the Kapamilya network immediately went off air following the release of a Cease and Desist Order from the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC).
ABS-CBN is surrounded by issues. These issues were tackled during the hearings held with the House Franchise Committee.
Last July, the members of the House Franchise Committee decided on the bid to deny the Kapamilya network of a fresh 25-year franchise. Seventy (70) lawmakers favored it and only 11 voted to give the network a new franchise to operate.
The denial of the franchise bid of ABS-CBN was followed by massive work retrenchments. Over 10,000 people were employed to the company then. Some celebrities transferred networks while others accepted job offers from other networks.
Recently, actor Enchong Dee who is one of those who decided to stay with ABS-CBN revealed his side on some Kapamilya stars accepting offers from other networks.
“At the end of the day, a lot of my contemporaries, a lot of artistas are breadwinners. Hindi mo naman puwedeng alisin sa kanila yung pagkakataon na magtrabaho sa isang lugar,” he said based on a report on ABS-CBN News.

Based on the report, Enchong Dee also does not take loyalty as a measure now because of the situation. He explained that it is easy for him to choose to stay with ABS-CBN because he has the resources.
According to Enchong who is one of the actor-businessmen in the industry, he’s blessed that he was able to invest his money right when he was just starting in showbiz.
“So now, with all these things happening, hindi ako masyado worried about saan ko kukunin y’ung pambayad ng kuryente, ng tubig,” the actor said.
