The 61-year-old White House chief of staff told the press that he was infected after the election.

Meadows was first tested positive of COVID-19 on November 4, a day after the presidential election.

He was last seen with Donald Trump when the incumbent president who seeks to be re-elected as the country’s highest leader had a speech inside a room at the White House along with 150 other people.

In previous weeks, Donald Trump and his wife Melania as well as other senior officials of the Trump administration were infected by the dreaded disease.

Policy advisers Stephen Miller and Hope Hicks and press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany were among those who have been infected by the disease since October.

Meanwhile, the US is leading as the worst-hit country with more than 10 million cases as of posting and over 240,000 fatalities.
