Number one ‘yung atin pong nagiging effective ‘yung atin pong communication sa mga tao, ‘yung ating compliance with the minimum health standards; wearing of mask, face shield, proper handwashing,” Duque said in his report to President Rodrigo Duterte.

He also cited that data showing Filipinos’ compliance with wearing masks. Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey results in September revealed that 8 in 10 Filipinos wore face masks.

According to Duque, Filipinos had really followed the government’s rules or advisories, adding that the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) and National Task Force (NTF) under Secretary Galvez’s administration had been intensified.

However, Duque said that Filipinos should remain vigilant, adding that the decreasing number of COVID-19 cases in the country wasn’t the reason for Filipinos to be complacent.

Meanwhile, the Department of Health had reported a total of 389,725 confirmed COVID-19 cases with 349,543 recoveries and 7,409 fatalities as of 4:00 p.m. of November 5, 2020.

Meanwhile, the Department of Health lauded the President’s directive to ensure affordable and equitable access to COVID-19 tests and test kits.

It was last November 4, 2020, when the President signed Executive Order (EO) No. 118, series of 2020, directing DOH — in coordination with DTI — to ensure affordability and accessibility of COVID-19 tests and test kits.
