According to him, he was able to notch a big break on ABS-CBN because of Charo, whom he considered as his confidante.

In an online program Dear Charo where Piolo was a guest, he was asked if he had experienced burnout while working.

Charo Santos revealed: “Oo, meron. Meron ‘yan na ano… Meron ‘yan na dinadaanan na mga panahon na nagrerebelde.”

Piolo Pascual then explained: “Siya kasi kausap ko noon, e. But Tita Charo would always put some sense to me. I guess because nakaka-relate siya sa akin. It was easier for me to vent.

“It was easier for me to share whatever I was feeling, because alam ko na naiintindihan niya ako,” he added.

Piolo’s rebellion allegedly took place during the times when he did not stop working.

But Charo used to tell Piolo to rest first when he gets tired.

Piolo Pascual stressed that he probably would not have had a good career today if not for Charo.

Charo then thanked the actor: “Thank you for the love. ‘Yan lang naman ang konting maibibigay ko sa lahat ng hard work, dedication, at commitment na ibinigay mo.”

Piolo Pascual rose to fame when he starred in the hit series, Esperanza which also stars with Judy Ann Santos.

Meanwhile, Piolo was one of the ABS-CBN artists who got a job on TV5 after his home network was shut down in July 2020.

  1. TV5 actually is just pirating assets of ABS-CBN or GMA. The Kapatid Network should stand on its own creativity and resourcefulness rather than too dependent on the other networks . . . Dependence must have limits and not just be based on business philosopy . . .
