Apple officially launched Mac computers with its new M1 chip.
Apple had officially launched its Mac computers that has the company’s new M1 chip during its “One More Thing” virtual launch event.
These Mac computers were the company’s first set of computers to be powered by an in-house processors. Here’s what Apple unveiled during the said event:
MacBook Air
The company officially announced its all-new MacBook Air that was powered by its Apple M1 chip.
According to Apple, the new MacBook Air had a lot of improvements: Thunderbolt and USB 4 I/O port, up to 16GB of internal memory, up to 2TB SSD storage, silent design, 5x faster graphics, 3.5x faster CPU, WiFi 6, and up to 18 hours of battery life.
Mac mini
The all-new Mac mini was also launched during the said event. It featured the same industrial design but has an M1 chip.
According to Apple, the new Mac mini was 5X faster compared to the most commonly sold PC desktops and it featured two USB-C ports that can support Thunderbolt and USB 4.
MacBook Pro
Lastly, Apple unveiled its all-new 13-inch MacBook Pro during the said event.
According to Apple, the new MacBook Pro was powered by the Apple M1 chip and called it the world’s “fastest compact pro notebook for ML tasks” as the M1 chip brought the Neural Engine for high-speed machine learning (ML) compute.

Price and Availability
[UPDATE as of November 12, 2020] Apple officially revealed the local price of these Mac computers in the Philippines.
According to Apple, the MacBook Air has a starting price of PHP 54,990, Mac mini has a starting price of PHP 37,990, and the 13-inch MacBook Pro has a starting price of PHP 71,990.
However, Apple didn’t announce the local availability of these Mac computers in the Philippines. We’ll give an update once it’s available.
