Angel Locsin body-shamed anew?
Actress Angel Locsin was body-shamed anew with a screenshot of a module from the Schools Division of Occidental Mindoro describing her as an “obese person.”
The post stated: “SITUATION. Angel Locsin is an obese person. She, together with Coco Martin, eats fatty and sweet food in MANG INASAL fast food restaurant most of the time. In her house, she is always watching television and does not have any physical activities.”
Fans and supporters of the actress were quick to react to the viral post which has been making rounds online particularly on various social media platforms.
Among those who commented is a netizen who defended her by saying: “Is that even a real module? I don’t believe the DepEd would actually produce something as mindless and as poorly constructed grammatically as that?”
The Department of Education is yet to issue any statement regarding the viral post.
On the other, Angel Locsin is also silent about the viral post citing her as an obese person.
This is not the first time that the actress was body-shamed online.
Last June, she made a buzz online with her photos that were taken when she went to Mauban in Quezon for the taping of her show “Iba Yan” directed by her fiancé Neil Arce.
But celebrities including veteran actress Rita Avila came to defend her against body-shamers.
