Viral Student Victimized by Online Scam Receives Real Laptop from Kind Individuals
The viral student who has been victimized by an online shopping scam received a real laptop from kind individuals.
Previously, the college student identified as Arthur Baylon expressed his disappointment after receiving stones instead of laptop. He ordered a brand new laptop online worth P24, 000 but received three pieces of stones.
Baylon helps his fisherman father over the past few months to save money and buy a gadget for his online class. He cried and his parents also expressed their dismay due to the incident wherein they have used their hard-earned cash.
However, the online seller defends itself and explained that they sent a real laptop and not stones. Eventually, the third-year BS Hospitality Management student received a refund from the seller.
Recently, the viral student received a brand new laptop from kind-hearted individuals. Several personalities have donated some cash to provide a laptop for Baylon. The post received praise from the online community.
MMDA EDSA Traffic Chief Col. Bong Nebrija, Presidential Anti-Corruption Commissioner Greco Belgica, and businessman Gabriel Go have donated the laptop to Iloilo student.
