Senators react on red-tagging Liza Soberano and Catriona Gray
Senator Risa Hontiveros and Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan issued a statement to defend Liza Soberano and Catriona Gray over warning of Lieutenant General Antonio Parlade Jr.
Hontiveros slammed the military general over his warning with the two personalities.
“Huwag mong gamitin ang kapangyarihan mo bilang heneral upang takutin at pagbantaan ang mga kababaihang ito. Your threats and harassment are unacceptable. By silencing them, pinapalampas mo ang karahasan, panggagahasa, at pang-aabuso na nararansan ng napakaraming Pilipino,” she said.

Senator Francis Pangilinan, on the other hand, criticized Parlade, and lauded Liza Soberano, Catriona Gray, and also Angel Locsin.
“Ano ba ‘yan? Nakipagkwentuhan lang si Liza, binantaan na ng kamatayan,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Palace through Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque earlier issued a statement in response to the warning of General Parlade.
“Pinag-iingatan lang sila na baka magamit sila ng Left,” said Roque.
Liza Soberano was red-tagged due to her guest appearance at the Gabriela Youth Webinar entitled “Mga Tinig ni Nene: Reclaiming Our Voices on the International Day of the Girl Child” on Tuesday, October 13.
