Pope Francis received Cardinal Tagle in audience in Rome.
Pope Francis received Cardinal Luis Antonio G. Tagle in audience, according to a bulletin that was released by the Holy See Press Office on Friday at the Vatican.
However, the details of the said meeting were not stated in the said bulletin, but Cardinal Tagle was present as the Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples.
Aside from Cardinal Tagle, Pope Francis also received Archbishop Charles John Brown — the Apostolic Nuncio in the Philippines — and the members of the “Zayed Award for Human Fraternity” Committee in audience.
Pope Francis was also scheduled to meet with Lee Baek Man — the ambassador of Korea — on his farewell visit.

Cardinal Tagle became the first head of a Vatican dicastery who had tested positive for COVID-19. Tagle recently visited his parents in the Philippines and attended some activities as well.
CBCP News previously reported that he recovered from the disease nearly two weeks after he had tested positive for COVID-19. With this, Pontificio Collegio Filippino Rector Fr. Gregory Gaston said that Cardinal Tagle’s recovery was “a great joy for the whole Church”.
Before he returned to his work on the second week of October in Rome, Cardinal Tagle celebrated mass at the Manila Cathedral for the first time since recovering from the disease.
