Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Meet, and Docs would be getting new icons.
As previously teased last month, Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Meet, and Docs would be getting new icons over the coming weeks.
This, as Google was set to roll out new branding for its productivity apps as part of Google Workspace.
In a blog post, Google officially introduced Google Workspace as G Suite’s new name and also a complete modernization of its productivity offerings as well.
As such, the new “Workspace” name conveyed a sense of mobility and how work can be done anywhere increasingly. However, the real way Google Workspace wanted to manage its user’s day was by saving it and letting the user get everything done in one window.
In terms of changes, Google Workspace made some changes to its old G Suite pricing structure, but the said change won’t be felt by frontline workers.

According to Google, users would see new four-color icons for Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Meet, and the company’s collaborative content creation tools — such as Docs, Sheets, and Slides — in the coming weeks.
Google also said that it resembled the same family and represented Google Workspace’s commitment to building its “collaboration experiences” and “immersive communication”, all with helpfulness from Google.
Meanwhile, Google’s new Gmail with Chat and Rooms was already available for all paying customers.
