From flight attendant to businesswoman
Former flight attendant, Maurice Maureen Avila, who lost her job due to the pandemic and now ventured selling liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), caught the attention of netizens.
Recently, she went to social networking site, Facebook wherein she proudly shared her new venture, posting a side-by-side photo at the time she was working as a flight attendant to becoming an LPG seller.
“Diskarte at sakripisyo ang bubuhay sa ’yo at sa pamilya mo, hindi opinyon ng ibang tao,” she said.
According to her, it took her a long time before she accepted the fact that she’s jobless at the moment and finally had the courage to post it on social media.
Maurice admits that she used to be ashamed of her current situation.
She even cried almost every night but later she learned to accept it.
She also encouraged the people who lost their jobs because of the pandemic not to lose hope.
One of the things that she realized was “kahit anong gsto natin sa buhay kung hndi naman talaga yun ang plano ni Lord, kukunin at kukunin nya yun sayo.”
Maurice added that she could not wait to see and be with her fellow flight attendants who hoped to return to work once they were called back.
