The Department of Health (DOH) had recorded 1,910 newly-reported coronavirus cases in the Philippines as of 4:00 p.m. of October 14, 2020.
This, as the Department of Health gave an update on the total number of COVID-19 cases in the Philippines as of today.
According to its COVID-19 Case Bulletin #214 dated October 14, 2020, the Department of Health reported 1,910 newly-reported COVID-19 cases, wherein 1,639 out of 1,910 were recorded as “fresh” cases — reported cases occurred within the recent 14 days.
This brought the total number of confirmed cases of coronavirus disease to 346,536.
Since September 11, the Department of Health didn’t report the number of operational laboratories who successfully submitted their data to the COVID-19 Data Repository System as well as the total number of operational laboratories. However, the Department of Health on Wednesday reported that 11 operational laboratories failed to submit their data to the CDRS.

The Department of Health also reported 46,227 total active cases as stated in its COVID-19 Case Bulletin #214 dated October 14, 2020.
Moreover, the Department of Health identified the top five areas with the highest number of new coronavirus cases as of October 14 only: Metro Manila with 624 new cases, Cavite with 219 new cases, Batangas with 104 new cases, Rizal with 91 new cases, and Negros Occidental with 63 new cases.
Aside from the number of confirmed cases, the Department of Health had recorded 579 newly-reported recoveries, bringing the total number of recoveries to 293,860. Also, the Department of Health recorded 78 newly-reported fatalities, bringing the total number of coronavirus deaths to 6,449.
