The Department of Health (DOH) had recorded 18,065 newly-reported coronavirus recoveries in the Philippines as of 4:00 p.m. today, October 4, 2020.
This, as the Department of Health gave an update on the total number of COVID-19 cases in the Philippines.
According to its COVID-19 Case Bulletin #204 dated October 4, 2020, the Department of Health reported 3,190 newly-reported COVID-19 cases, wherein 2,709 out of 3,190 were recorded as “fresh” cases — reported cases occurred within the recent 14 days.
This brought the total number of confirmed cases of coronavirus disease to 322,497.
Since September 11, the Department of Health didn’t report the number of operational laboratories who successfully submitted their data to the COVID-19 Data Repository System as well as the total number of operational laboratories. However, the Department of Health on Sunday reported that 15 operational laboratories failed to submit their data to the CDRS.

The Department of Health also reported 43,642 total active cases as stated in its COVID-19 Case Bulletin #204 dated October 4, 2020.
Moreover, the Department of Health identified the top five areas with the highest number of new coronavirus cases as of October 4 only: Metro Manila with 1,279 new cases, Rizal with 212 new cases, Laguna with 147 new cases, Cavite with 146 new cases, and Bulacan with 122 new cases.
Aside from the number of confirmed cases, the Department of Health had recorded 18,065 newly-reported recoveries, bringing the total number of recoveries to 273,079.
Also, the Department of Health recorded 100 newly-reported fatalities, bringing the total number of coronavirus deaths to 5,776.
