PRC postponed the licensure examinations for selected professions.
The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on Monday resolved to postpone the conduct of the scheduled licensure examinations for selected professions.
This, as the Professional Regulation Commission issued Resolution No. 1270 postponing the licensure examination exams for the following professions:
- Architects
- Midwives
- Civil Engineers
- Aeronautical Engineers
- Geologists
- Nurses
- Criminologists
- Dental Hygienists (Written and Practical)
- Dentists (Written and Practical)
- Dental Technologists (Written and Practical)
- Radiologic Technologists
- X-ray Technologists
- Pharmacists
Also, the Professional Regulation Commission resolved to reset the foregoing examinations next year.
The Professional Regulation Commission gave licensure examinations to the graduates of various courses. On Monday, September 14, the Commission announced the postponement of scheduled professional licensure exams due to the increasing number of coronavirus cases in the Philippines.
As stated in the said resolution, the Boards concerned and the Licensure Office recommended the postponement of the conduct of the said licensure examinations to the Commission as well as rescheduling the licensure examinations for selected professions on appropriate dates.
In a previous advisory, the Professional Regulation Commission announced that the conduct of the June to August 2020 Licensure Examinations was rescheduled to 2021.
The Professional Regulation Commission also said that the new schedules would be posted on its official website and on its official social media accounts.
Meanwhile, the total number of coronavirus cases in the Philippines already reached 269,407 as of 4:00 p.m. of September 15, 2020.
