Janno Gibbs Shares Statement For Hosting Rival Show Of ‘Eat Bulaga’

Janno Gibbs now has his own noontime show

Former Eat Bulaga host Janno Gibbs shared his statement for hosting the rival of the longest-running noontime show.

For several years, Janno has been part of the Dabarkads. However, he transferred to ABS-CBN and now, he is set to host the new noontime show on Net25.

He also became part of the Kapamilya noontime show It’s Showtime as one of the judges in its segment ‘Tawag ng Tanghalan’.

Janno, along with Anjo Yllana and KitKat will be the hosts of Happy Time and its debut will be on September 14, based on the article from PEP.

In line with the rivalry issue, Janno Gibbs said that more than just a competing against his former noontime shows, they just wanted the viewers to have an alternative.

“Of course, medyo ninenerbiyos. But sabi nga ni Anjo, na tumatayong lider namin sa noontime show, we’re not here to compete,” he said.

Janno also said, “We’re here to offer an alternative entertainment, para naman meron silang ibang napapanood bukod sa Eat Bulaga! at saka sa Showtime.”

When asked if opened up this to his former co-hosts, the singer-actor said that this is just work. “Wala naman, kasi kami in showbiz, personally, kaming mga artista, hindi naman namin… trabaho lang naman para sa amin lahat ito,” he shared.

He added that this is a healthy competition and this is an advantage for the audience as they can have many choices.

Janno Gibbs also shared that when Eagle Broadcasting contacted him to be part of this show, he had a go signal from Viva Artists Agency.

He said that aside from his new show, he is also excited to work again with Anjo. They did various projects together in the past and that included their stint in Eat Bulaga.
