Davao Mayor Sara Duterte Currently on Medical Leave Until October 5
Davao Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio is on a medical leave starting today, September 28, until October 5, 2020.
All three older children of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte are also in the public service. They are currently serving Davao which the President has served for over 20 years.
Presidential daughter Inday Sara Duterte-Carpio is currently the mayor of Davao City while her younger brother, Sebastian “Baste” Duterte, is the vice mayor.
Presidential son Paolo “Polong” Duterte is a Davao congressman. He was a former vice mayor of Davao City.
The three older children of the President are his daughter and sons with his ex-wife, Elizabeth Zimmerman. He has another daughter who is his youngest child, Veronica “Kitty” Duterte, with his current partner Honeylet Avancena.

Currently, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte is on a medical leave. Based on a memorandum released by the Office of the City Mayor, Inday Sara is on leave starting today, September 28 (Monday) until October 5, 2020.
The specific reason of the City Mayor’s medical leave was not stated but it is stated that “she will be out of town for medical purposes”. She has designated Vice Mayor Baste Duterte to take over.
As the Acting City Mayor, Vice Mayor Baste “shall assume duties and responsibilities” of Mayor Sara in her absence and oversee all the departments and offices under the city government as stated in the memo.
Amid her medical leave, Mayor Inday Sara will be present online to make sure that the deadlines of her office will be met.
