According to the chamber’s secretary-general, the staff of Alan Peter Cayetano attended its duty on September 14 to 18 but underwent testing after experiencing COVID-like symptoms such as body weakness, headache, colds, and loss of smell and taste.

Based on the statement of the House Secretary-General Jose Luis Montales via ABS-CBN News, contact-tracing was launched when the result of Alan Peter Cayetano’s staff came out.

As of posting, the chamber has already recorded 80 cases and 14 are considered active including the staffer of Alan Peter Cayetano.

Meanwhile, the Department of Health announced via its latest bulletin that the Philippines has recorded 2,180 additional cases, 580 new recoveries, and 36 new deaths as of Thursday, September 24, 2020.

Based on the record of the country’s health department, the Philippines has now a total of 296,755 confirmed cases with 231,928 recoveries and 5,127 deaths.

COVID-19 pandemic continues to devastate the entire world.

With the rapid increase of coronavirus disease 2019 cases, leaders of different nations are doing their all in order to combat the spread of the deadly virus which started in China in 2019.

Among the safety protocols that everyone must observe are the following; social/physical distancing, wearing masks especially in public places, and using disinfectant from time to time if possible.
