The PNP had reported 111 new COVID-19 cases and 1 new coronavirus death.
Over 100 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the Philippine National Police (PNP). This brought the total number of cases in the police force to 2,732.
This, as the Philippine National Police on Wednesday posted on Facebook wherein the PNP had documented a total of 111 new cases which was a “record-high” daily increase in the police organization.
In addition, 43 out of 111 newly-reported cases were reported from Metro Manila police, followed by MIMAROPA police with 40, and CALABARZON police with 12.

Based on a report from INQUIRER.net, a 46-year-old non-commissioned police officer from the National Capital Region Police Office was the latest police officer who died in the Philippine National Police due to coronavirus disease (COVID-19). This increased the total number of fatalities to 13.
In addition, the total number of recoveries already reached 1,800 with 43 new police officers who recovered from the disease. Moreover, the Philippine National Police was also looking into 2,202 suspected cases and 764 probable cases of coronavirus disease.
The Department of Health reported 143,749 total cases of coronavirus disease in the Philippines wherein 4,444 COVID-19 cases were added as of 4:00 p.m. of August 12.
