Jerry Yan or Liao Yangzhen in real life rose to fame for his role as Dao Ming Si in the Taiwanese drama series Meteor Garden which also stars with Vic Chou, Vanness Wu, Ken Chu, and Barbie Hsu.
After the series, his group known as F4 continued to perform together and has released three studio albums.
Aside from the Meteor Garden, he also starred in some of the notable series such as The Hospital, Hot Shot, Down With Love, Loving, Never Forgetting, and to name a few.
