COVID-19 survivor Iza Calzado has finally returned to work following months of hiatus after being infected, but now recovered, from the disease.
The 37-year-old actress is currently gearing up for her upcoming series, “Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin” which started taping last June.
Iza Calzado is grateful that she was able to overcome the challenges she had faced particularly her debunked bout with COVID-19.
It was in March when she was hospitalized due to pneumonia and later on, it was found out that she is positive for coronavirus disease or COVID-19.
But after certain medications and undergoing isolation, she was cured, and eventually, her test result for COVID 19 turned out negative.
Meanwhile, she’s busy taping her upcoming series which also stars with Maricel Soriano, Jodi Sta. Maria, and Sam Milby.
It was supposed to be released last March, however, due to the COVID-19 outbreak and shutdown of her home network, ABS-CBN, it was canceled.
Upon returning to her work, she admitted that she had worries despite overcoming the infection.

“Bilang COVID survivor, hindi ko sinasabi na I’m walking around fearlessly. Siyempre meron ako at that time when we went into the lock in, I knew I still had antibodies,” she said.
She also lauded ABS-CBN management for keeping them safe particularly in observing the safety protocols onset their taping.
