Iza Calzado cried when her fellow stars greeted and sang happy birthday to her at the virtual press conference of her new teleserye, “Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin.”
Among the singers are her co-stars in the teleserye such as Jodi Sta. Maria, Sam Milby, and Maricel Soriano, directors, production staff, and press attendees at presscon.
Iza Calzado will celebrate her 38th birthday on Wednesday, August 12.
When Iza’s face flashed on the screen she was shocked and cried to the surprise of the staff.
She then thanked the production staff and said it was her “most meaningful” birthday.
Iza Calzado’s experience last March during the height of enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) in Metro Manila is not unknown to the public.
On March 28, Iza Calzado was reported to have tested positive for COVID-19.
This led to pneumonia, causing Iza to be rushed to the hospital due to her low oxygen level.
Eventually, she recovered and her test results turned out negative.
Iza Calzado also returned home safely and a few months after her ordeal, she joined the lock-in taping of Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin for three weeks.
