Veteran entertainment writer and talent manager Aster Amoyo denied John Regala’s allegations that he did not receive any donation money.

In an interview with Raffy Tulfo, John Regala claimed that he did not receive any money in a fund-raising organized by Nadia Montenegro, Chuckie Dreyfus, and Aster Amoyo.

Chuckie, Nadia, and Aster were among those who initiated to raise funds for the treatment of John Regala’s liver cirrhosis.

According to Aster Amoyo, they list down all the donations given to John.

These include the respective names and exact amount given, all expenses from his hospital bills, medicines, groceries, caregiver salary, and other equipment purchased for John.

However, they did not list the donations which came from Sen. Bong Revilla, Vic Sotto which were directly deposited in the Metrobank account of John Regala and other donations from Raffy Tulfo, Mayor Richard Gomez and Congressman Ronnie Ong.

Their group was able to raise as much as 300,000 pesos including the $1,000 (P47,600) sent by John’s ex-wife Au Manansala-Hunt.

John Regala was confined at the National Kidney and Transplant Institute (NKTI), in a private room (with TV and refrigerator and private toilet), and has his own caregiver.

According to an article published by the entertainment website, Push, Aster also made the way for John to talk to his ex-wife and his son Kieffer.

She also asked the management of Iglesia Ni Cristo to allow him to stay in a condo for his recuperation.
