Here’s the reason why Anjo Yllana left Eat Bulaga
Anjo Yllana has finally broken his silence for leaving the noontime show, Eat Bulaga after being part of it for the last 21 years.
Many were shocked and saddened by Anjo Yllana’s post on Facebook on Tuesday, August 11, saying he has resigned from the show.
Meanwhile, in a phone interview, the 52-year-old actor-TV host revealed the main reason why he said goodbye to Eat Bulaga.
He said, “For the past months, wala naman akong ginagawa dahil sa studio sila [ibang co-hosts], kami ni Jimmy Santos, sa barangay,”
Before the quarantine was implemented, Anjo and Jimmy were assigned to the barangays for the “Juan For All, All For Juan” segment of the noontime show.
Anjo continued, “Siyempre, may mga anak ako, ano ang ipapakain ko sa kanila kung two years pa na walang COVID-19 vaccine? So it’s more of my family.”
When asked how long did it take before he finally decided to leave Eat Bulaga, he quipped: “Mga one day… kasi mahal na mahal ko yung Eat Bulaga.”

According to him, only chosen hosts were allowed in the studio, and if the pandemic continues for two years, he won’t have any work.
He’s still part of Eat Bulaga at the time but placed on hold and needed to wait for the vaccine before they can resume taping outside the studio.
Anjo Yllana said he accepted the offer to switch to Net25 and host Happy Time because even with COVID-19, they will do a live show.
