Unidentified Man Robs 3-Day Income of 50-Year-Old Vendor

SAMPALOC, MANILA – A 50-year-old vendor named Leno Muaña lost its 3-day worth of income after robbed by an unidentified man.

Leno Muaña, a vendor discovered that his bag gone missing after he left on his tricycle parked along Quintos Street. The bag allegedly contains his income for three days of selling goods including the payment for his supplier.

The vendor explained that just went to the restroom to urinate but his bag had gone missing. He even asked the people near the area to find his bag and money. “Umihi lang ako. Pagbalik ko wala na. Tinanong ko mga tao kung nakita ba nila,” Muaña said.

50-Year-Old Vendor

The victim watched the CCTV footage of the barangay and found a man wearing a red shirt and black shorts walking along the street. The man go near to the tricycle and immediately picked up the bag.

The suspect identified as Leo Reyes has been arrested and explained that he is jobless and failed to drive his tricycle for almost a month. Reyes also said that he will use the money to buy food for his family.

“Pambili lang ng pagkain. Nakita ko lang naman nadaaanan ko lang,” Reyes said.

Barangay 550-Zone 5 chairman Jeffrey Estabaya said that Reyes is included on the drug watchlist. The authorities recovered the bag of Muaña but his mobile phone and P5,000 gone missing.
