Negros Occidental Provincial Government COVID-19 cases
Five (5) additional employees from the Provincial Government of Negros Occidental tested positive for the dreaded Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).
Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz said one of them worked at the Provincial Health Office, another one at the Provincial Veterinary Office and three of the infected employees worked at the Bids and Awards Committee.
The provincial government has recorded 19 employees to have contracted the virus as of posting.
The Provincial Capitol will reopen this coming Monday, August 17 after it was closed last Wednesday for disinfection.
The province has recorded six new additional cases on Thursday, August 13 while Bacolod City registered 15 new cases.

Meanwhile, the Department of Health announced via its latest bulletin that the Philippines has recorded 4,002 additional cases, 1,403 new recoveries, and 23 new deaths.
Based on the record of the country’s health department, the Philippines has now a total of 147,526 confirmed cases with 70,387 recoveries and 2,426.
