Earlier, iPhone users were experiencing an issue where some iOS apps suddenly crashed after opening it. Here’s a quick tutorial on how to fix this issue.

Tutorial On How To

In a report on 9to5Mac, the cause of this issue was due to a “bug” in the software development kit (SDK) of Facebook that was needed to be fixed as soon as possible.

Even if iPhone users didn’t have a Facebook app that was installed on their device, iOS apps that used an SDK can access it when these apps were opened, and then suddenly crashed after opening those apps.

The solution to this problem was to block iOS apps from accessing the Facebook domain. With this, The Verge discovered an app that would solve this problem temporarily – the Lockdown Apps.

9to5Mac described this app as “a firewall and privacy protection app” specifically for iOS devices that used a virtual private network (VPN) in order to block trackers – including Facebook’s iOS SDK – from loading third-party apps.

The said app would allow apps – such as Spotify, Pinterest, and Tinder – to launch during an outage of Facebook’s iOS SDK. Moreover, the Lockdown Apps was “completely” free to use.

All you need to do was to follow these steps on how to use this app.
