Johnny Depp denied the allegation that he slapped Amber Heard.
Hollywood actor Johnny Depp denied the allegation that he slapped Amber Heard, his ex-wife, as he faced the 2nd day of questioning in his “high-profile” libel trial in London.
This, as he was suing The Sun, a British tabloid, for its 2018 article, claiming that he was a “wife-beater”.
Depp and Heard were both in court as lawyers for the publisher of The Sun, the News Group Newspapers (NGN), questioned him about the allegation of violence during his time together with her ex-wife.
The News Group Newspapers was disputing its claim for libel, saying that there was “overwhelming evidence” that Depp attacked Heard while he was under the influence of liquor between 2013 and 2016.
Lawyer Sasha Wass, the representative of the News Group Newspapers, made an allegation to the actor that he had slapped his ex-wife three times after she made fun of Depp’s “Wino Forever” tattoo that was embedded on his arm last March 2013.
In a report on ABS-CBN News, Depp stated that the said allegation wasn’t true.
The News Group Newspapers was relying on 14 separate claims of domestic violence in its defense and all of these claims were denied by the actor.

As per the report, Depp said that his ex-wife was “calculating”, “narcissistic”, “sociopathic”, and “emotionally dishonest” as she was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder and had an intention to destroy his life.
Moreover, Depp’s legal team called Heard’s claims “complete lies” as they said that she was a “complex individual” and prone to “wild moodswings”.
David Sherborne, Depp’s lawyer, said that the actor wasn’t a “wife-beater” and never had been.
