Actress Kelly Preston, the wife of American actor John Travolta passed away at the age of 57 after two (2) years of battling breast cancer.
Kelly Preston left her husband alongside their kids Ella, 20-years-old and Benjamin, 9-years-old.
“On the morning of July 12, 2020, Kelly Preston, adored wife and mother, passed away following a two-year battle with breast cancer,” a representative from the family said in a statement.
“Choosing to keep her fight private, she had been undergoing medical treatment for some time, supported by her closest family and friends,” it noted.
“She was a bright, beautiful and loving soul who cared deeply about others and who brought life to everything she touched. Her family asks for your understanding of their need for privacy at this time,” it added.
Kelly Preston or Kelly Kamalelehua Smith in real life started her acting career via 1985 movie, Mischief, wherein she portrayed the lead role.
She later starred in some of the popular films such as SpaceCamp in 1986, Twins in 1988, Jerry Maguire in 1996, and For Love of the Game in 1999.
She last appeared on-screen via 2018 movie entitled Gotti, starring her real-life husband and on-screen partner, John Travolta.
In the movie, she played the role of Victoria Gotti, the wife of Mafia boss John Gotti (John Travolta).
John Travolta and Kelly Preston were married for 28 years.
