Senator Richard Gordon released an official statement as 10 of his “immediate staff” tested positive for Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).
Gordon, who’s also the chairman of the Philippine Red Cross, announced earlier that 10 of his immediate staff contracted the dreaded disease.

Gordon noted that he and his family were placed under home quarantine “to ensure the safety and well-being of any one with whom we will interact in the future.”
Meanwhile, the Department of Health announced via its latest bulletin that the Philippines has recorded 2,357 additional cases, 321 new recoveries, and 113 new deaths as of Saturday, July 18, 2020.
Based on the record of the country’s health department, the Philippines has now a total of 65,304 confirmed cases with 22,067 recoveries and 1,773 deaths.
