Waldy Carbonell, a former anchor of ABS-CBN News Channel (ANC) has revealed something about the franchise renewal of Kapamilya Network on his radio program Kawal ng Demokrasya in DWBL.
ABS-CBN is currently in great ordeal with issues thrown at the network after failing to renew its franchise.
Several revelations have earlier surfaced including a statement from former ANC reporter and Iraq War Correspondent, Waldy Carbonell.
In his revelation, the veteran broadcast journalist claimed that a former Public Relations Officer of Philippine Airlines- who now works as Public Relations Man offered him a post in a Chinese TV network.
According to him, the company is from Hongkong who seeks to establish a TV station in the country, replacing ABS-CBN.

It was on May 4 when the ABS-CBN franchise expired.
On May 5, the operation of network TV and radio stations nationwide was suspended due to a cease and desist order by the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC).
The congressmen who have been critical in the franchise renewal of the network claimed that ABS-CBN committed the following violations: citizenship of network owner Gabby Lopez III, labor practices, alleged improper tax payments, use of Philippine Depositary Receipts (PDRs), and about digital operations of the network using AMCARA Broadcasting Network franchise even though it is illegal.
