Magnitude 6.6 Earthquake hits Indonesia
A 6.6 magnitude earthquake hit Batang, Indonesia earlier today, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS).
Earthquakes hit without prior signs/warnings most of the time. Recently, several places across the globe were struck off by quakes with different magnitudes.
Meanwhile, based on the latest earthquake bulletin of the United States Geological Survey, the 6.6 Magnitude earthquake that struck off the coast of Indonesia earlier hit at a depth of 528.7 kilometers.
The epicenter of the Magnitude 6.6 earthquake was located at 93 km North of Batang.
No tsunami warning has been issued as of posting.
Indonesia is located in the “Pacific Ring of Fire” thus numerous earthquakes and volcanic eruptions often occur.
