Drive-thru graduation rites in Bacolod
A drive-thru graduation ceremony held at the Bacolod Tay Tung High School in Bacolod City continues to dominate online garnering thousands of views and reactions from the netizens.
Since the mass gatherings are not allowed due to COVID-19 restrictions, Bacolod Tay Tung High School found an alternative in order to pursue the supposed to be high school graduation set in April or May.

As of posting, the video has generated more than 24,000 views and numerous reactions from the citizens of the net.
But in a comment, Facebook uploader Maria Leonila Ting made a clarification about the drive-thru graduation rites.
“Our grads had the option to join or not, because of the covid threat for one and also because of transport concern. But NOT surprisingly, those who didnt have cars opted to join. Thats how POSITIVE our SCHOOL CULTURE has become! They walked up the stage with their folks. And got the big applause they deserve. I think they were just as proud as those who came in their cars.”
Before graduation rites take off as the school year 2019-2020 ends, classes were put on hold amidst the threats of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 or COVID-19.
