DOH, DOLE, FDCP officially released its Joint Statement regarding JAO No. 2020-001
JOINT STATEMENT – Here’s a joint statement from the Department of Health, the Department of Labor and Employment, and the Film Development Council of the Philippines regarding the clarification and misconceptions on its Joint Administrative Order No. 2020-001.
In its statement released on Thursday, it stated that it must be emphasized that the Joint Administrative order was aimed at protecting the safety and health of audiovisual and film workers as they continued their livelihoods under the new normal.
Moreover, the Department of Health was in charge of communicating and updating basic health standards; the Department of Labor and Employment was in charge of inspection and penalties; and the Film Development Council of the Philippines was in charge of manning the project registration as well as coordinating production details to the local government units, the Department of Labor and Employment, and the Department of Health.

In addition, the DOH, DOLE, and FDCP were grateful for the inputs of other line agencies that had lent their support through the endorsement and operationalization of its Joint Administrative Order, adding that the DILG, DTI, and DepEd were also present in their inter-agency meeting.
As per the statement, the agencies assured the stakeholders of the audiovisual and film industry that the provisions of the said order would be “periodically” reviewed and revised should the need arise as it was an “evolving situation”.
