A personal driver of Negros Occidental official was identified as “Patient 18” in Bacolod City, according to Atty. Rayfrando Diaz.
A personal driver of a Negros Occidental official was identified as “Patient 18” in the city who was tested positive with the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
This, as Atty. Rayfrando Diaz, the Provincial Administrator of Negros Occidental, confirmed the said news, yet he didn’t reveal the position of the said official who was the employer of the said driver who tested positive for coronavirus disease.
According to Atty. Rayfrando Diaz, the said official brought his driver to the Provincial Health Office last June 5 in order to have a swab test because of having COVID-19 symptoms.
The result of an official’s driver, a 32-year-old driver from Barangay Bata, came earlier today and found out that the said driver had tested positive in coronavirus RT-PCT testing. Meanwhile, the said patient was already transferred to the city’s quarantine facility.

Atty. Rayfrando Diaz also said that the contact tracing was already conducted by the City Health Office in Bacolod City together with the Provincial Health Office.
He said that the swab tests were conducted to those who had close contact with the said driver and to the official as well. Moreover, he also said that the contact tracing was already conducted in order to locate those who had close contact with the said official.
