Update on PAL, Cebu Pacific Domestic Flights Resumption

PAL – The Philippine Airlines and the Cebu Pacific made changes on the schedules of their domestic flights.

The COVID-19 has made huge impacts on several countries across the globe – including the Philippines. In PH, there is now a total of 18,638 cases of the disease recorded in the country.

According to the Department of Health (DOH), 960 of these coronavirus patients died while the total recoveries is at 3,979 now.

Amid the COVID-19 crisis, classes were suspended, flights were cancelled, social gatherings were prohibited, and a lot more. All are in line with the pursuit to curb the spread of the disease.

The community quarantine measures in the country were recently loosen. The high risk areas are under a General Community Quarantine (GCQ) now while most areas in the country are under a Modified GCQ.

Flights are also set to resume soon. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, initially, the domestic flights of the Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific were set to start yesterday, June 1.

However, the Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific made some changes regarding the resumption of their domestic flights. Based on the report, instead of having it yesterday for PAL and today for Cebu Pacific, the two (2) airlines decided to start on June 3.

The first batch of the domestic flights by PAL is from Manila bound to Cebu, Dumaguete, Cagayan de Oro, and Davao. For Cebu Pacific, the flights are going to Naga, General Santos, and Cagayan de Oro.
