Dale Villar: ‘they are taking advantage by stealing, looting, and creating a damage’

Former actor Dale Villar condemned the looting among protesters in Portland, Oregon in the USA that happened amidst a protest over the killing of George Floyd.

Earlier, protesters rallied along the streets of Portland who seek justice following the death of George Floyd under police custody.

The gathering was supposed to be a peaceful vigil to Floyd but unfortunately, it resulted in an outrageous protest.

However, the then protest turned out to be a looting incident after protesters ransack establishments in the said city which include a Louis Vuitton store.

The looting incident was caught on cam which prodded the netizens to react including former Pinoy actor Dale Villar who is now based in Portland.

According to Dale Villar, some retail establishments are owned by his friends.

“I am so distraught of the damage of this city,” he said in a Facebook post.

“I don’t believe that the people are doing the damage are making a point of the death of George Floyd—they are taking advantage by stealing, looting, and creating a damage—seriously wrong move for the intention of a protest,” he added.

Based on the article published by PEP.ph, Dale Villar rose to fame over his commercial of a soft drink brand which paved his way to be recognized in the movie industry and television.

Among the flicks he starred with are the following: Manchichiritchit (1993), Pinagbiyak Na Bunga: Lookalayk (1994), Kadenang Bulaklak (1994), Ikaw Ang Miss Universe Ng Buhay Ko (1994), and Bangers (1995).

It was in 1997 when Dale Villar left show business to pursue a different career path in Oregon.

He is now married and is working as the sales and digital marketing manager of Mercedes Benz in Portland.
