Is this the reason why Coco Martin deactivated his Instagram account?
Following the report of FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano star Coco Martin deactivating his Instagram, an entertainment website hinted a possible reason why the actor disbands his account.
Earlier, the more than 3 million followers of the 38-year-old actor were puzzled why the Kapamilya star’s verified account could not be found on the social media platform.
But in an article of PEP.ph, it hinted a probable reason why the actor deactivated his account on Instagram.
According to the article published by the entertainment website, Coco Martin might have deactivated his account due to the latter’s tirade with Solicitor General Jose Calida.
It all started when Coco Martin slammed the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) over the cease and desist issued to ABS-CBN.
He also lambasted Calida at the time.
And on Monday, June 1, SolGen Calida fired back at Coco Martin and other Kapamilya stars- whom he did not name.
Coco Martin was the only one Calida mentioned during the hearing.
“For the past few days ever since ABS-CBN supposedly went off the air, their stars and celebrities have taken to social media to rail against what they perceive to be oppression on the part of the government,” he said
“One of the more prominent stars who spoke against the government is Coco Martin,” Calida noted.
“He said in a social media post addressed to me that and I quote, ‘Kapag ang pamilya ko kinanti, kahit sino ka pa, lalaban ako ng patayan sa iyo kahit patayin mo pa ako.” he added.
In the later part of the hearing, Calida said: “If I had not been the Solicitor General, I would have called his bluff and make him eat his words.”
ABS-CBN is set to face the congress in the next hearing scheduled on Monday, June 8.
