Coco Martin: “Lalaban kami at maninindigan!!!”
Ang Probinsyano’s star Coco Martin released a statement anew amidst the franchise renewal issue of ABS-CBN.
The 38-year-old Kapamilya star recently went to the image-sharing site, Instagram wherein he shared a quote accompanied by the following caption: “Lalaban kami at maninindigan!!!”
According to PEP.ph, Coco Martin’s statement is in relation to the ongoing woes of the Kapamilya Network over their franchise renewal.
In the said post, a resolute Coco Martin defended the Kapamilya Network as it continues in negotiating their franchise issue.
Here’s a quote he posted on Instagram:
“ABS-CBN
ITINATAG AT PINAPATAKBO NG MGA PILIPINO.
NAGBIBIGAY TRABAHO PARA SA MGA PILIPINO.
NAGLILINGKOD PARA SA MGA PILIPINO.
#IbalikAngABSCBN.”
In a separate post, Coco Martin urged the public to sign an online petition for the renewal of the ABS-CBN franchise.
The campaign is being attached to the logo of ABS-CBN.
He also posted a photo that signifies “Kapit-bisig”. The image is accompanied by colors; red, green, and blue.
The photo symbolizes ABS-CBN’s ongoing battle amidst their franchise issue.
Coco Martin previously made rounds online over his viral video rant after the country’s largest network shut down following an order by the National Telecommunications Commission.
The video of Coco Martin blasting NTC generated mixed reactions from the netizens.
Meanwhile, ABS-CBN President and CEO Carlo Katigbak recently faced the lower house wherein he defended anew the issues thrown to Kapamilya Network amid franchise renewal.
Katigbak reiterated that the network did not commit any violation as claimed by House Deputy Speaker and SAGIP Party-List Congressman Rodante Marcoleta.
The violations committed by ABS-CBN according to Marcoleta include foreign ownership, tax avoidance, unfair labor practices, and to name a few.
