BB Gandanghari’s clarification
BB Gandanghari clarified the issues surrounding Rustom Padilla’s separation with Carmina Villaroel.
In her latest video blog on the video-sharing site, YouTube, BB Gandanghari debunked the rumors on then Rustom-Carmina breakup.
Based on her statement in an article published on the ABS-CBN entertainment website, Push, there was no gay relationship involved in their separation.
“To tell you honestly, around this time, walang gay relationship si Rustom. Kaya nga yon ang sinasabi ko sa inyo, guys, hindi niya alam kung paano sasabihin na hindi totoo, kasi anong basehan?” she said.
He also refuted the allegations that he was in a relationship with a man at the time.
“Ito ang pinanggagalingan ni Rustom —anong basehan na he’s gay when, in fact, he’s not having relationship with any man? Now, bakit siya apektado? Kasi may nakabaon na pangyayari sa kanya na nagsisilbing tagapag-paalaala na, at the back of his head, all the time, almost like reminding him every time that he can be gay,” she said
“In fairness kay Rustom, hindi nagpanggap. Hindi gumamit ng babae. Hindi nanligaw just to prove his masculinity. That, he never did,” she added.

It was during his stint on Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) in 2006 when he publicly confessed that he is gay.
Rustom’s revelation shocked many and eventually, he decided to bear the name, BB Gandanghari.
