Here’s the reason why Maureen Wroblewitz left ‘Eat Bulaga’
Model Maureen Wroblewitz finally revealed the reason behind her decision to leave the longest-running noontime show Eat Bulaga.
After winning Season 5 of Asia’s Next Top Model, Maureen had a short hosting stint in the Kapuso noontime show with the Dabarkads lead by Tito Sotto, Joey de Leon, and Vic Sotto.
However, fans noticed her absence for several episodes last year, and that created speculations that she was terminated. However, in her YouTube vlog on July 6, 2019, the model confirmed that she is no longer part of the show.
She clarified that it was a mutual decision between her camp and Eat Bulaga. Maureen also hinted at her fans about her upcoming projects that require her focus.
In her recent radio interview, the model elaborated the story behind her decision to leave the noontime show. She shared that after winning the ANTM, she thought of exploring other possibilities in the entertainment industry.
“I feel, like, because modeling is not such a big thing anymore in the Philippines. And I like to get out of my comfort zone, because I’m introverted, and I like the challenge,” she shared.
For her, if a something makes her nervous, then, it is a good sign and she does not want to stuck with one thing and will regret not doing other things.
However, after several episodes, Maureen Wroblewitz realized that hosting is not her cup of tea.“But then, it was more on… I feel, like, the language barrier because I wasn’t fluent in Tagalog,” she said.
The fact that she would be speaking in front of a big crowd for six days a week also made her feel uncomfortable. When asked about what’s keeping her busy now, she said during the interview that she will concentrate on acting.
