Having A Coronavirus Was “Bloody Awful”, According To A British Defence Minister
British Defence Secretary Ben Wallace on Monday said that he described the feeling of having a coronavirus disease 2019 or COVID-19 as “bloody awful”.
In an interview with Sky News, British Defence Secretary Ben Wallace said that COVID-19 had reduced his energy, lessen his will, and temporarily took away his sense of taste and smell.
British Defence Secretary Ben Wallace shared that his condition wasn’t severe, yet, it mentally struck his will. He also said that he took some precautions and he went back to his job as a defence minister.
This, as British Defence Secretary Ben Wallace previously said that he had tested positive with the coronavirus disease 2019 or COVID-19 last March.
Earlier, the lifting of lockdown measures in the United Kingdom was likely to be “gradual”, according to the British government.
Senior Minister Michael Gove earlier stated that the government could pause or reintroduce restrictions that would be required in dealing with “localized outbreaks” of COVID-19. Meanwhile, UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson said that using face masks could be “useful” as the country will resume to its “new normal”.
As per the report, the United Kingdom reported 4,339 new cases of COVID-19 and 315 new coronavirus deaths. This brought the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 186,599 and 28,446 total fatalities reported. Globally, the number of confirmed coronavirus cases already reached more than 3.5 million as of this writing, with over 247,000 total coronavirus deaths and 1.3 million total recoveries.
