Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg has a message over Trump-Twitter issue.
Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg issued a statement regarding the ongoing rift between microblogging site, Twitter, and US President Donald Trump.
Trump earlier signed an executive order targeting social media companies, a few days after Twitter reportedly labeled two of his recent tweets as “potentially misleading.”
“We have a different policy I think than Twitter on this,” Mark Zuckerberg said in an interview with FOX News as reported by Reuters and published by GMA News in an article.
The Facebook chief executive stressed that the social networking site has “distinguished us from some of the other tech companies in terms of being stronger on free expression and giving people a voice.”

Facebook apparently has media partners that conduct fact-checking especially if a certain post came from a politician, unlike Twitter.
Last March 2020, Facebook took down a post about COVID-19 or coronavirus disease, which was published by Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro on the social networking site.
Meanwhile, Jack Dorsey, the chief executive officer of Twitter said that Trump’s claims “may mislead people into thinking they don’t need to register to get a ballot.”
According to a spokeswoman from Twitter, the decision to label Trump’s tweets was approved by its senior executives including Dorsey.
