PLDT and Smart came up with this payment program amid community quarantine
The Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company (PLDT) Inc. and Smart Communications, Inc. recently announced that they will be having their 6-month installment payment program.
In line with the current health crisis in the Philippines due to the COVID-19 pandemic, several businesses in the county have given a grace period for the payments of their customers. Payment of monthly electric, water, internet bills, and others are temporarily extended.
Additionally, PLTD and Smart went the extra mile by their recently-announced payment program. These companies wanted to ease the burden of their consumers by giving them the installment program.
Starting May 1, they will implement the 6-month installment payment program for the outstanding monthly bills of postpaid subscribers. Under the said program, postpaid subscribers can settle their unpaid balances as of April 30 in six equal monthly payments.
Another good thing that this program offers is the 0 percent interest and the postpaid subscribers do not need to pay any penalty fee.

In a statement, PLDT Inc. Chairman and Chief Operating Officer Manuel V. Pangilinan said, “We hope that through this payment program, we will help keep you connected whether you are at home, the office or elsewhere after the enhanced community quarantine period. As one community, we will get through these challenging times together.”
