Facebook officially launched the Messenger app for Mac and Windows.
Facebook officially launched the desktop version of Facebook’s Messenger app for macOS (for Apple) and Windows OS (for Microsoft).
This, as the desktop version of Facebook’s Messenger app would serve as a “video conferencing app” that allows Windows and Mac users to make video conversations available on their computer screens.
The said launch came after lockdowns and enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) across the globe were enforced to contain the spread of COVID-19 or coronavirus disease.
Facebook also said that the company saw an increase of more than 100% in people who used the desktop web version of Messenger for audio and video conversations over the past month.
As of this writing, the global tally has recorded a total of more than 1 million confirmed coronavirus cases wherein 53,166 fatalities and 212,018 recoveries were being recorded.
