Concerned Resident Asks Netizens To Help Poor Construction Workers Stuck in Barracks

Concerned Resident Seeks Help For Poor Construction Workers Stuck in Barracks & Now Running Out of Food Supplies

A concerned resident is asking the netizens to help the poor construction workers stuck in their barracks and now running out of food supply.

Last month, President Rodrigo Duterte has declared Philippines under a state of calamity and placed the entire Luzon on enhanced community quarantine. The quarantine orders aim to prevent the further spread of the new coronavirus.

However, the lockdown protocols affect thousands of Filipino people after their jobs and livelihoods have been suspended. Most of them are currently relying on relief goods.

A Facebook user named Artemio Dagta Montalban is now asking the help of the public to the poor construction workers who were stuck at their barracks in Brgy. 848 1113 T. San Luis St., Pandacan, Metro Manila.

Montalban said that the construction workers were stuck on their barracks due to the enhanced community quarantine. The employees are now running out of food supplies at their barracks.

The workers tried to seek help from the local government in the area but the officials allegedly refused to give them help because they were not voters in the city. The employees were already being thrifty but their food is still not enough until the end of quarantine period.
