WOMAN FROM SINGAPORE – Bacolod City Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran revealed that a woman is strictly monitored now for possible coronavirus infection.

Every city and municipality in the Philippines now is on a tight guard against the spread of the 2019 novel coronavirus. For a few days now, the total number of confirmed cases in the country is increasing.

Currently, the total number of confirmed cases is 33. The latest addition to the tally are nine (9) cases which were confirmed by the Department of Health (DOH) yesterday afternoon.

There are several persons under monitoring and patients under investigation in the different cities and municipalities nationwide. Those who had contacts with the confirmed cases have to be strictly monitored and quarantined.

In Bacolod, a woman from Singapore is currently strictly monitored for possible coronavirus infection. Based on a report of TV Patrol Negros, it was confirmed by Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran.

According to the Vice Mayor Familiaran, three (3) days after the woman from Singapore arrived in the city, she experienced fever, sore throat, and cough. Based on the report, her specimens were already taken and sent to the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM) for testing.

Currently, there are 19 persons under monitoring in the city. It was after eight (8) were cleared as the 14-day quarantine period has ended and four (4) new people were considered as PUMs.
