This is the career now of former reporter Steve Dailisan, also known as “Steeeve”
Former GMA reporter Steve Dailisan, known for his “Steeeve” trademark name, is enjoying this career now when he left the broadcasting industry.
He worked as a field reporter, documentarist, and news anchor in the Kapuso network for 10 years. Viewers of GMA have been accustomed to the way how he said his name for his ending spiel. After a decade of practicing journalism, Steve left the industry and pursued another career.
He took flying lessons and he is now a licensed commercial pilot. Last January, he shared a photo of his ID with “Steeeve” written on it. This amused the online community as he is still looking back to where he started.
In a video posted on the Facebook Page of Mc JIM Classic Leather, he recalled the time that he was still in the broadcasting industry. He said that he became a witness to the good and bad things that were happening in society.
When asked why he changed his career path, Steve Dailisan said, “I felt it was time.” He also said that if he will not fulfill his dream to be a pilot, something is lacking in his life. The former reporter had to do some sacrifices when he chose to be a pilot.
For him, the most fulfilling part of becoming a pilot was when he had his first solo flight. “Once you accomplish your first solo flight, talagang kakaibang high ang feeling,” he shared. He also related that being a reporter in the past, he was able to carry the value of multi-tasking.
Steve Dailisan also shared that his first TV appearance as a reporter and his first flight brought him the same degree of “kilig”.
